Mozart to Metallica

Connections between Classical Music and

Heavy Metal

A book written by Michael See

This book explores the connections between two genres of music that are rarely discussed.

If you are a fan of music, music history, classical music, heavy metal music, or just history in general, you should read this book.  It is full of stories of how songs were created, how albums came to be, how old music and new music relate to each other, and how modern music honors the old stuff.

Growing up on my mom's record collection of oldies music, like Chuck Berry and The Beach Boys, I learn to appriciate good music. I started playing trumpet and started a musicians journey through high school and college.  I have been able to play a long list of classical music. As I got older, I was also introduced to Metallica, Black Sabbath, and Iron Maiden.

The more I learned about classical music and heavy metal, the more connections I saw that few people ever talked about.  I felt compelled to write this book to teach about the connections I have seen.
